Purebred Beef Cattle Information

Thank you everyone who participated in 2010!!
The Maine Beef Producers is offering something different to our members to market purebred cattle this year. We are offering a Pen Sale.
We will supply 12 x 12 pens with 1st bedding (chopped hay), a one page flyer listing the breeders participating in the sale to be mailed around the 10th of May and clean up for a flat fee of $25 per head.
The consignor will be responsible for presentation of their animals, dealing one on one with potential private treaty buyers to get the best price possible. They would also be responsible for any transfers, or interstate health regulations, if the animal was sold outside the state of Maine.
The dates of the Northeast Livestock Expo are May 20th, 21st & 22nd at the Windsor Fairgrounds, in Windsor, Me. The cattle need to be in place by 8:00 Saturday morning, but can be brought in on Friday. The cattle should meet the same health protocols as the feeder cattle. These protocols can be found on our website at mainebeefproduceersassociation.org.
