Alpaca Show & Sale
Thank you to all the Alpaca Breeders for supporting the 2009 Northeast Livestock Expo!
We're looking forward to their exhibits in 2010
Alpaca Pen Sale
An alpaca pen sale occurs when a group of
alpaca breeders brings their alpaca to a specific site to offer their animals for sale. It allows the buying public to view
several farms at one location. The animals are sold by private treaty between the
buyer and seller. There is no auction. The alpaca breeders control the price, terms and guarantee. A pen sale is less
stressful to the animals and provides better prices for the buyers. The breeders will be at their booths with their alpaca
to show their animals and answer questions. Sales can be made with the breeder and arrangements made to deliver the animals
to the buyer’s farm. All farms are bringing male alpacas; suri and huacaya will be represented. Farms will have their sales
list with them with information on their females. If a buyer has an interest in purchasing females or a package of males and
females, arrangements can be made with the owner/breeder for a farm visit.
